Chalkboys is a scorekeeper for pools among friends. It is not a sportsbook: it doesn't take bets, set odds or pay winnings. The Ledger tracks bets you've placed elsewhere; it doesn't place them.

Dues, buy-ins and payouts are between members and their commissioner, settled outside Chalkboys. The dues marks and pot totals you see here are a record to keep everyone honest, not a balance we hold.

Each pool's commissioner sets its rules within what the site allows, handles dues and payouts, and can correct results. Disagreements about a pool are for its members and commissioner to settle.

Odds, scores and race results come from third-party providers and can be late or wrong. Official results win, and commissioners can correct anything that came through wrong.

Trash talk is welcome. Harassment, hate and spam aren't. We can remove messages or accounts that cross the line, and commissioners can remove members from their pools.

You must be of legal age where you live to take part in sports pools, and you're responsible for following the laws that apply to you.

Chalkboys is provided as-is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version.
